Foundation / Corporation
Grants ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations, festivals, museums, and biennials for exhibits featuring artists from Israel. Funding is intended for a range of exhibitions, including institutional or independent projects, events, or presentations that feature one or more artists who identify as being from Israel.
Successful grantees demonstrate advanced curatorial thinking, experimentation, and artistic excellence, and include audience engagement programs. Applications are evaluated based on artistic excellence, feasibility, and the anticipated level of impact on the artist(s), audience members, and contemporary art discourse. Preference is given to applicants that include direct compensation or financial support for artists, as demonstrated in the project’s budget (this might include artist stipends, production and travel support, and other basic costs associated with an exhibition or project).
Exhibition Grants provide support for solo and group exhibitions outside of Israel that include artists from Israel at key moments in their career. Artis has supported exhibitions at both major international institutions including biennials and museums, as well as smaller venues and alternative spaces since 2004.

Artis will fund the same venue more than once for different exhibitions, but successful venues may only receive funding three consecutive years in a row. Following three years of funding, grantees must wait a full calendar year before applying again.
