Awards of $5,000 to a full-time Texas K-12 teacher and a college-level educator to recognize outstanding contributions to the quality of history education. Nominations are invited on behalf of worthy individuals who teach full time at the kindergarten, elementary, secondary, or higher education levels. Anyone may submit a nomination.

The winning educators will be presented with a certificate and a check for $5,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Any person may nominate any full-time educator presently teaching history in a Texas school or college.

Pre-Application Information:

Letters of nomination sent to the award committee must be postmarked on or before December 8, 2019.

The winning educators for 2019 will be presented with a certificate and a check at the Association's Annual Meeting in February 2020 in Austin, Texas.
