THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 200 - WALLIS IS TO BE ABLE THROUGH FUNDRAISING, SPECIAL EVENTS, HALL RENTALS, DUES, DONATIONS and INTEREST INCOME TO PROVIDE MONETARY ASSISTANCE TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT PROMOTE THE WELL-BEING and GOOD MORAL UPBRINGING OF OUR YOUNG ADULTS, PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO THOSE IN NEED, PROVIDE AVENUES FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACHIEVING HIGHER EDUCATION; AND THROUGH ALL OF THESE ACTIVITIES PROMOTE and PRESERVE THE MEMORY and DEDICATION OF THOSE MEN and WOMEN, REGARDLESS OF RACE OR RELIGION, WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR OUR COUNTRY, FOR DEMOCRACY and FOR THE FREEDOM THAT WE HAVE TODAY IN OUR DAILY LIVES, PROMOTE PEACE and GOODWILL AMONG THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES and ALL NATIONS ON EARTH.
