THE FOUNDATION HELPS FILL THE GAPS IN SERVICES BENEFITING THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED THROUGH ITS OWN PROGRAMS AND IN COLLABORATION WITH A VARIETY OF SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS TO: HELP PREVENT BLINDNESS THROUGH EDUCATION AND MEDICAL INTERVENTIONS; HELP SUPPORT COUNSELING FOR LOW-VISION PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES; PROVIDE CULTURAL-ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED;MAKE EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE TO AID BLIND AND LOW-VISION PATIENTS; PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS AND TUITION ASSISTANCE FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED, AND; PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO NEEDY, VISUALLY IMPAIRED INDIVIDUALS FOR THEIR GENERAL WELFARE.
