Grant Description

Awards to Texas nonprofit and for-profit organizations in recognition of extraordinary commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The awards are intended to honor leaders who champion equality and diversity in all areas including race and religion, gender, age, disability, and sexual orientation. Eligible nominees are located in Houston.

Award Categories/Organizations: Outstanding Diverse Organization: Identifies organizations – for-profit or nonprofit – that have contributed to harnessing diversity within their work forces and actively taking the lead to promote and champion the business case for diversity within the community or their industries.

Diverse Organization awards will be presented to for-profit or nonprofit organizations based on employment size:

  • Small: 10 to 99 employees
  • Medium: 100 to 499 employees
  • Large: 500 or more employees

The Houston Business Journal’s Diversity in Business Awards program will honor organizations that have shown exceptional commitment to promoting practices that advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
