Scholarship of $750 to a USA student who is diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) for assistance to attend college. Applications are invited from recent high school graduates, current undergraduate students, and students enrolled at an Autism School. Applicants must provide evidence of enrollment in or acceptance to an undergraduate program.
Matt LaClear and Danielle Peffers founded this scholarship with the hope that one day, it may grow into a much larger contribution. They have seen firsthand how Autism can challenge families and wishes to do their part in ensuring that they are both active in helping families dealing with Autism. As a result, one deserving student will win the scholarship to assist with the costs of school, enabling the student to focus on achieving a higher education.

To qualify for the scholarship, you must:
1. Be a recent high school graduate, current undergraduate, or an attendee of an Autism School
2. Be enrolled or accepted by an accredited school
3. Be a US citizen
4. Be diagnosed with ASD
*Candidates who are either volunteers or interns will be given extra consideration.
Applicants must provide a personally written 600-word essay on the topic: How will you use your education to make the world a better place?
Please note that applicants must provide two (2) letters of recommendation from former teachers and/or community leaders.
The application deadline is January 10, 2019.
The award mailing date is January 15, 2019. The winner will be announced the same day the award is mailed.
