Award to a Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, or Florida eligible photographer to recognize artistic excellence and a sustained commitment to a cultural project. In addition to a cash prize, the winner will have the opportunity to exhibit their work in a photography gallery. The award is intended for documentary photographers. The subject matter for the proposed project is not limited to the Gulf Coast geographic region but the photographer's main residence must be within these five states.

The winner will receive a $3,000 cash award, featured exhibition during PhotoNOLA 2020, and an online exhibition permanently archived on the NOPA website.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Both emerging and established photographers residing in the eligible Gulf Coast states are eligible to apply for the MPS Fund’s annual grants.

Staff or Board Members of NOPA are not eligible to submit applications.

- May 22: Winner announced

The winner is asked to donate 2 prints to NOPA, selecting from work submitted for the award and/or work created after having received the award. NOPA will archive these prints in its permanent collection and may exhibit them in the future.

NOPA membership is not required to enter.
