Grants of up to $1,000 or up to $1,500 to Victoria County, Texas nonprofit organizations for programs that benefit children and families. The purpose of funding is to create opportunities required for emotional, mental, physical, intellectual, and economic well-being, as well as social growth.

The following guidelines may be used by the Community Research and Development Committee in determining CAF allocations:

  1. The degree to which a program supports the purpose of the Junior League.
  2. Community need and/or relationship to established funding focus.
  3. Leveraging of JLV funds with other sources of funding within the community.
  4. Evidence of community support and an on-going impact on the community.
  5. JLV and/or community interest and resources.

Estimated Size of Grant:

CAF Grants are typically awarded in amounts up to $1,000. However, JLV member-sponsored CAF Grant applications may be awarded in amounts up to $1,500.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grants are made only to exempt organizations qualified under IRS Code 501(c)(3) and must be used for charitable, literary or educational purposes in accordance with IRS 501(c)(3) guidelines. Grants to organizations with a fiscal sponsor that is a qualified 501(c)3 organization will also be considered.

Grants will not be given to individuals. Requests for the following will not be considered: (1) donations for annual fundraisers, (2) events that have already happened, and (4) organizations practicing discrimination. All grant funds must be expended for exempt purposes within Victoria County.

Pre-Application Information:

All grant application forms and supporting documents must be submitted no later than January 31, 2020. Late applications will not be accepted.

To apply for a JLV member‐sponsored CAF Grant, an organization must have a sponsor who is currently an Active or Sustaining Member within JLV and is also an active volunteer within the applicant’s organization.
