Grants to Texas nonprofit organizations for programs in the areas of education, community resilience, and inclusive mobility. Programs must take place in Bexar County. Funding is intended for programs that offer the participation of educational programs, target youth, and benefit a large number of people.

Key areas of program support:

Primary
- Education: Special consideration is given to STEM programs as Toyota continues to develop its future workforce.
- Inclusive mobility: Connecting people to opportunities by developing inclusive mobility solutions.
- Community resilience: Building resilience by investing in needs required to thrive, specifically relating to environmental sustainability and driver and passenger safety.

Secondary
- Civic and community
- Arts and culture
- Health and human Services

Toyota prefers to support program-based requests. On occasion, Toyota will support fundraising activities where a majority of the proceeds go directly to the organization.

Toyota considers funding requests that:
- Are geared towards benefiting a large number of people
- Offer participation in local educational programs
- Exhibit clear, measurable and realistic goals and objectives
- Establish the means for evaluation and reporting after a program is completed
- Provide leadership and development programs for participants
- Target youth within any of the funding priority areas
- Including financial and other strategic commitments from other funding organizations.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Texas nonprofit organizations may apply.

Toyota is unable to fund requests from organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, age, religion, disability, medical condition, sex or gender (including pregnancy), gender identity and/or expression (including a transgender identity), sexual orientation, marital status, military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state, or local law.

It also will not fund requests benefitting:
- Individuals
- Political organizations, parties or candidates
- Fraternal organizations
- Churches
- Labor organizations
- Non-charitable organizations
- Athletic organizations or sports teams
- Individual and/or private schools
- Covering institutional expenses or deficits
- Vehicles

- Notification: February

After you submit your application, you will receive an email confirmation. After an initial review, you may be contacted to provide additional information. Communication will occur via email or letter. After Toyota reviews your application, you will receive notification indicating whether your grant request has been approved or declined. This can take up to 6 months.

Budget funding is done on an annual basis ending on March 31st of each year, so if your proposal is time-sensitive, you are urged to apply at least 3 months in advance to allow staff adequate time to fully consider your application.
